LAGOS,Aug 9 — 9mobile, one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunications companies, has officially announced a major rebranding, transitioning to a new corporate and consumer identity: T2.
The service provider unveiled, its new identity through its official X handle on Friday, marking a new chapter for the company and also part of a deliberate strategy to reposition itself in Nigeria’s competitive telecom market.
The rebrand follows a year after LH Telecommunication Limited acquired a majority stake in the network provider, a move that initiated a significant change in the company’s direction.
Meanwhile, this is the second time the company’s name has changed, following its rebranding from Etisalat to 9mobile in 2017.

The company had recently signed a national roaming agreement with market leader MTN Nigeria, which will allow T2 customers to access MTN’s extensive network nationwide, improving coverage and service quality, especially in rural and underserved areas.
