ThinkBusiness Africa Ltd. and all its affiliated publications and events (referred to here as ThinkBusiness Africa, “we,” and “our”) cares about your privacy and the security of your information.

The policy below provides details of our privacy practices in connection with all our publications – digital, print, newsletters, live events (Conferences), mobile applications, tb.Africa and any other content we provide (collectively, “our” services) as they affect your data. It sets out the different kinds of personal data and information we may gather, use, manage or share them.

Contact Information – When you subscribe to our newsletters, register for one of our live events or conferences, or participate in one of surveys, we ask you for your contact information, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and physical address.

Billing Information – When you purchase one of our products or register for certain conferences, we collect your billing information, which may include your name, email address, and billing address. Though you may enter your credit or debit card information on a ThinkBusiness Africa website or mobile app, we do not have access or possession of that information. Instead a third-party payment processor is responsible for the processing and storing your payment information.

Demographic information – When you subscribe to any of our newsletters, magazines, or register for a live event (conference) or participate in one of our surveys we may ask you to tell us more about yourself, such as your job title and level, the name of your employer, the industry in which you work, your income,  your age, or your gender.

Profile Information – When you use some of our Services, we may collect information such as your username, password, photographs, interests, preferences, and any other information you choose to provide.

We may automatically collect certain pieces of information about you when you use our Services, including the following. Much of this information is collected via cookies.

Device Information – This lets us know how you are accessing our Services and may include information such as the kind of device you are using, your operating system, your browser, certain device settings, your IP address and other unique device identifiers.

Usage Information – This lets us know how you are interacting with our Services and may include information such as which parts of Service visit, how long you visit, your search history within our Services, and how you interacted with advertisements and emails.

Conference Partners – When you register for or attend one of our conferences, we may share some of your registration information, such as your email address, with our partners.

For Legal Compliance or Public Interest – We may share your personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with the law or legal process; to protect and defend our rights or to prevent misuse of our Services; or to protect the personal safety of our employees, agents, partners, the users of the Services, or the public.
