Wema Bank PLC affirms that buying and selling of the Bank shares by both insiders and outsiders has been closed pending the public disclosure of second quarter (Q2) 2025 Unaudited Financial Statement Release.
According to a very recent statement from the Bank, the Closed Period is ahead of Q2 2025 Unaudited Financial Statement Release. the Bank had earlier announced a closed period for its shares, effective from July 1, 2025, until 24 hours after the release of its Q2 2025 Unaudited Financial Statement to the public. This declaration is in compliance with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) Rulebook, which will also enable the Bank prepare its books ahead of the release of Q2 financial reports.
During this closed period, Wema Bank and its connected persons are prohibited from directly or indirectly dealing (buy or sell) in the Bank’s shares. This restriction extends for 24 hours following the public dissemination of the Q2 2025 unaudited financial statements through the Issuers’ Portal of NGX and by extension, the general public. However, the date for the release has not been communicated yet. All insiders of the Bank and individuals closely connected to them have been advised accordingly regarding this closed period.
