Kenya Celebrates Mashujaa Day

The Kenya president William Ruto will today lead Kenya celebrations of the Mashujaa Day. Mashujaa in Swahili means heroes. It is a national day observed as a public holiday on October 20. This year’s celebrations is holding at the Kericho Green stadium, honoring the country’s heroes who fought for freedom from colonial rule. Earlier today, the Nation reported that six people were injured as they gathered early at the stadium for the celebrations.
